Description

The g1 flight jacket is the Navy pattern — the one with the shearling collar and the knit cuffs, as opposed to the Air Force A-2 with its shirt collar. This is the version built around the look from the Top Gun films.

The collar tells you which jacket it is

Aged mouton shearling at the collar. A mouton collar bomber jacket is instantly a G-1 and never an A-2, because that collar is the single detail the two patterns do not share. Real leather shell, soft viscose lining.

Built to move in

Bi-swing back, which means pleats across the shoulder blades that open as you reach forward — a flying detail that happens to be useful whenever you are driving. Zipper closure sits behind a wind flap, so cold air does not come through the teeth. Knit ribbed cuffs and ribbed hem seal the ends. Slim fit through the body.

Embroidered patches and the USN anchor pin are on it, which is what makes a top gun jacket read correctly rather than looking like a plain brown bomber.
