A men’s sheepskin jacket is warm in a way no padded coat matches, because the fleece is the lining — it grew there. These are shearling and sheepskin jackets in real leather: B3 flight jackets, aviator bombers, hooded shearling coats and shorter shearling-collar styles.
The B3 is the heavy one, cut for bomber crews flying unheated at altitude, and it stays the warmest thing we make. A shearling flying jacket in the shorter bomber length gives you most of that warmth without the bulk, and a hooded shearling jacket adds cover for wet winters.
